Abstract submission is now closed.

Presenting Authors are required to register and pay by 31 August in order to remain in the provisional programme.

On behalf of the International Ballistics Society (IBS), SABO is proud to announce the first call for abstracts for the 35th International Symposium on Ballistics (ISB) which will be held at the Cape Town ICC, South Africa from 25th to 30th October 2026. The symposium will be held one week later than previously communicated. The theme of the Conference is “Wind of Change”.

The 35th ISB will feature expert tutorials, robust discussion and thought-provoking presentations among ballistics professionals. As a first for the ISB, it shall feature digital interactive posters on large format HD monitors on the most state of the art technology. We will plan for two-track sessions for allowing more oral presentations during the conference. The 35th ISB in keeping with its theme, aims to attract a greater number of leading experts from the African and Asian Continent and the rest of the World.

Tutorial courses will be given on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th Oct 2026.

Paper selection committee and Paper format

The International paper selection committee has been identified and awaiting to review your abstracts and papers. The paper format for Symposium proceedings publication shall be sent out with the abstract acceptance email by 1 April 2026 together with the copyright transfer form.
